WRECKED HOMES, 2023

Metal, wool, concrete, bronze.

Solo Exhibition: About Limits & Boundaries, Uno + Uno, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Wrecked Homes is an artwork composed of six different objects, with three knitted houses each enclosed within a metal frame. The knittings are incomplete, with three yarns that are not connected but are separated from each house. The houses represent the idea of homes that have been wrecked or left incomplete, with the detached yarns symbolizing the missing pieces. The artwork invites viewers to reflect on the fragility and instability of the concept of home and how it can be affected by various factors, such as natural disasters or personal circumstances. The metal frames provide a sense of protection and stability to the houses, juxtaposing the vulnerability of the knitted material.
